1. Receive apologies for absence

2. Authorise the chairman to sign the minutes of the meeting held 19 June 2008.

3. Receive announcements by the chairman

4. Open Forum - to give members of the public the opportunity to voice their concerns

5. Consider planning applications and formulate comments to the planning authority:

• Planning application refused:
  • SL/2008/0518 – Ewan Mill, Station Lane, Burton – Field Shelter and Stable Block for Mr D.Towers

• Planning applications granted: None

• Planning applications received:
  • SL/2008/0611 – Mill Holme, Coat Green, Burton – Change front window to patio door & build raised decking/verandah for Mr P.Duckett
  • SL/2008/0614 – Land adjacent to Ewan Mill, Burton – Agricultural building to house livestock, feed & implements for Ms Hayley Owen

6. Consider the bank balance and the Income and Expenditure Account

• Lengthsman remuneration to 16.07.08 (4 weeks @ £77 = £308) + exps. £
• Clerk’s salary and expenses £ 308.81
• SLDC – Lighting charges for 2007/08 £ 1,037.00
• CALC – Training course for new Chairman £ 15.00

9. Appoint the Budget Working Party and agree a date & venue for the Budget Meeting

10. Agree whether to invite CCC Highways Steward to address a future Parish Council Meeting

11. Discuss parking in the Square

12. Discuss ways to increase public involvement in Parish Council Affairs

13. Update the Parish Plan

14. Receive and action communications received and sent
