MAIN MENU WELCOME TO BURTON-IN-KENDAL PARISH COUNCIL
Burton-in-Kendal is a small village straddling the A6070 road in the south of the county of Cumbria. It has a population of around 1500 people, and contains approx 660 dwellings.

The aim of our website is to inform, consult and to publicise the activities of the Parish Council by:
  • Giving information about what the Parish Council has done and is doing
  • Informing who the Councillors and Parish Clerk are and where they can be contacted
  • Giving an easy opportunity to suggest improvements for the community and commenting on Parish Council plans and projects using the Contact Us page and the Feedback Board
The parish council was awarded Quality Council status in July 2006. The award is recognition by the Government that the council has been assessed as an active, competent and professional body.

As a Parish Council we spend a lot of time looking into and planning for the future to make our village a more pleasant place to live in. It is because we seek to engage more fully with all in the community that we are making use of the Internet. This is your website please use it. All suggestions and constructive criticisms are most welcome.

If you would like to receive the Agendas and Minutes by e-mail from the Parish Council please add your e-mail address to our mailing list here.
